ATHC Camp - Day 2
Day 2 of the ATCH camp metal detecting weekend took us to a local high school. The weather was sub optimal for riding bikes but it was not too bad for detecting. A little messy, but OK. First things first, take the dog for a walk to meet the locals. They didn't seem too keen on meeting her.
By the time we got to the high school the weather was just starting to set in.
I got saturated.
First decent find of the day was this gold coloured koala sitting on a guitar badge. Sadly I broke it in half getting it out.
Many 1, 2 and 5 cent coins later out popped this junk ring.
Many 20 cent coins later I got a nice target, albeit a bit mangled. This is a 925 silver ring. I don't know whether the stone is real.
I don't know what it is about me and beetles, but this little fellow paid me a visit too. I think this is a green crarab beetle.
The overall total was just over $25 in spendables, two rings, three buttons and a badge.
The evening presented us with a glorious sky over another glassy lake. Who am I not to take a few shots?
