The Adelaide brickstameet event took us to the Adelaide Arcade, Adelaide University, North Tce and mortlock wing of the SA library. Here are my photos...
My first field trip with the Adelaide Treasure Hunters Club (which I joined during the week). We went to Largs beach. Sadly I didn't find any treasure (pirate or other) but I did find 55c in spendables. After the field trip I went back to a spot I'd had some success at once before and found a few more pre decimals. The coppers didn't fare so well in the soil but the one silver I found was in pretty good shape. 1948 three pence Reverse Obverse 1942 half penny Reverse Obvers
This morning I did some scouting for new places to go metal detecting as I've pretty much hunted out my old spot. I stumbled across this little beauty in one of the places I was checking out, it's a King William IV 1834 shilling and my oldest silver coin to date. Straight out of the hole, reverse side.
