If you're reading this and you haven't read part 1, good news!  You don't need to go back and read it first, but it may be useful if you want the back story.

Every year for the past few years I go to the Palmer Rockarama.  It's a craft and mineral fair weekend, but on the Sunday there is a metal detecting competition.

Every year I say I'm going to win the prize, as we were coming down the hill into the town we saw a r...

This week I teamed up with my Deus Duo partner - it felt good to get back into the swing of things (pun intended).

Not the best haul for me, but I was pleased (and jealous) that my mate finally cracked the 1700s with a. cartwheel penny.

My Deus Duo partner has been unavailable to go detecting these recent weeks, said something about having a baby a few weeks ago... ;P

Since I don't have any babies to look after I took the liberty of swinging a coil over some soil with another mate I've been trying to o...

My Deus Duo partner and I visited a spot near the button hole mentioned in previous posts.  It certainly didn't disappoint!  I came out with two (possibly three) silvers and a rising sun badge.  My mate also found some interesting items.  Will definitely have to revisi...

Not as many buttons found on this trip, but it was in the same area.  I did find my second farthing which I was pretty happy about.

My second (and favourite to date) farthing.  Wasn't quite able to crack 1800s but not far away!

I went back to the spot where I found the Australia Day Adelaide 1918 badge to see if there were any other treasures to be found - and there were!

Went to a site that I have had my eye on for a while, it didn't disappoint!

My favourite find of the day was the 1918 Australia Day Adelaide badge, but the other relics indicate this spot has some potential for more visits!

    June 28, 2018

I decided today was a good day to have off work and go the beach.  The sand gave me sinkers, the paths gave me coins (one was silver) and an earring part (also silver).

Very pleased to find this beauty!
